Chairs of seven UK parliamentary committees have urged the government to include a total ban on cryptocurrency political donations in the upcoming Elections Bill.
The letter, co-signed by Business and Trade Committee chair Liam Byrne, argues that current technology makes these risks exceptionally hard to manage. This follows a government review of foreign financial interference set to report in March 2026.
